In the same network, how we can set communication between two systems?

Could use ping and tcpdump, or ping and iptables

[sender]
ping -F 20bitsofdata
ping -p 16byteofdata

[receiver]
tcpdump -i any -p icmp
iptables -m recent -s sen.der.i.p

Single binary solution would be netcat (nc).
