Unhappy how to separate access log of squidproxy


hello

how will i do to monitor the different ip address that i set permission to squidproxy

what i mean is

i have 3 ip address
for example

192.168.1.4
192.168.1.5
192.168.1.6

those 3 ip address has internet connection i want to separate and monitor different log filename

in squid proxy the default is access.log


is it possible if i do like this

ip4.log
ip5.log
ip6.log


and how will i do this?

not a networking question. Moved to Linux - Newbie.

I don't believe you can do this implicitly, but if you have an entry for an acl for each IP then you can... http://www.visolve.com/squid/squid30...php#access_log

You could also look into using sarg I have a squid proxy with sarg installed and the interface doesn't give you exactly realtime, however, it can display a breakdown by "user" connection, in this case ip address/computer name and where they went etc....

Even Calamari can provide some details to you too, if you are not looking for exact logs.
