Question How to send keystrokes in Ubuntu?

I would like my computer to press the Esc key every 2 minutes. How can I do this? With and app or shell script or otherwise?

Thanks!

You can use
Code:
xvkbd -window "some_name" -text "\e"
with cron for this. The -window can be ommited of course.
