how to see LUNs on RHL 5 created on netapp-filer and added to an igroup

How to see LUNs on Redhat Linux 5 after created on Netapp-filer and added to an appropriate igroup ?

I have found a solution myself :

1. download the qlogic utility-package "Linux-Tools-20090804-2.tgz" from
http://de.driverdownloads.qlogic.com...0Hat%20(64-bit)

! scroll down to "Linux Utilities" !

2. login as "root" on the affected host
3. cd [your directory]
4. gunzip Linux-Tools-20090804-2.tgz
3. tar -xvf Linux-Tools-20090804-2.tar
5. cd ./Linux-Tools-20090804-2
the following packages are now available:
-> ql-dynamic-tgt-lun-disc-2.19.tgz
-> ql-hba-collect-1.10.tgz
-> ql-hba-snapshot-1.14.tgz
-> ql-lun-state-online-1.6.tgz
-> ql-set-cmd-timeout-1.8.tgz
6. gunzip ql-dynamic-tgt-lun-disc-2.19.tgz
7. tar -xvf ql-dynamic-tgt-lun-disc-2.19.tar
8. cd ./ql-dynamic-tgt-lun-disc-2.19
10. run

./ql-dynamic-tgt-lun-disc.sh

this will rescan the LUNs and after that you will see your devices.
For example with :
"sanlun lun show" (host utilities must be installed !)

Hello and welcome to LinuxQuestions,

Glad to hear you've found a solution. This one applies in my opinion only when you have QLogic hardware. It doubt it'll work with other hardware. Thank you for sharing what worked for you, I'm sure others in a similar situation will appreciate it. Have fun with Linux.

Kind regards,

Eric
