Wink How to run linux mint with little power?

I ue teamviewer to access my desktop linx mint pc from my windows laptop. Obviously my linux needs to be powered up to accept the connection. Is there a way to power up the linux to a basic, low running/energy use setting just enough to be able to access it via teamviewer? Basically so i aint using double the ammount of electric!!

Unless you have some wild knowledge of acpi then I'd say no. Most systems are usable or not and when usable for any or all task they are basically in full power.

Some systems have various states of power off but that isn't the question.

Might consider one of the gizmo's that are like homeplug deals. You have a small device that maybe a usb flash drive is connected to that runs any number of connection services.

It's a bit (OK, very) outside my area of competence, but is there no way to combine Teamviewer with wake-on-LAN?
