How to run faillog on 32-bit compatibility mode?
 

Hi all,

I've tested successfully of faillog with pam_tally on a 32-bit Linux but failed when running the same configuration for another 64-bit Linux (2.6.9-42 x86_64) running in 32-bit compatibility mode.

That is the /var/log/faillog file will be crashed with a segmentation fault kind of error after a 32-bit application tried to honor pam_tally to write to the /var/log/faillog. In other words, I can't use faillog to return whose logins were failed or reset the locked accounts.

In the problem case, the /usr/bin/faillog is a 64-bit file. Is it the problem? Should I get a 32-bit /usr/bin/faillog from somewhere? Anything else to make this working?
