how to run .exe file in ubuntu10.10


Dear all,

Please tell me how we can run executable file in ubuntu 10.10 like as windows.

First, what program are you trying to install?
For most, if not all, Windows programs there are equivalent linux programs that will not only run better on your new linux system, they are also totally free (as in freedom, and also free as in in beer. In other words, free as in cost).
So, before you try to install that Windows .exe app, you should check to see if there is a linux app that you could use to replace it.

try to install wine door..
there is a certain software that's running in wine-door
like photoshop, dreamweaver etc. check it in the wine-door site..

NO, you can however use wine to run windows programs in linux.

I beg to differ but not all windoze apps and programs will work in wine
