How to run emachineshop cad program in Linux?
 
I want to run emachineshop in PCLinuxOS. The software comes as an 8mb windows .exe installation file that I have downloaded. Now I am in the dark. A little help, please?

Open Synaptic, click the Search tab on PCLinux, type 'wine' (without quotes) in the box and select it for Installation. If you haven't used wine before, it would be a good idea to go to their web site and read the documentation. Did you read the FAQ (link below), the 'What if I don't use a Windows PC' part for emachineshop cad?

It's always good to check the Wine site when considering whether to use it to run a Windows app.

According to the Wine website, some versions of emachine shop will run just fine under Wine, but not necessarily all: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManage...ation&iId=1814
