how to run 3g usb modem on red hat linux
 
i hv recently installed redhat linux 5..i m not able to connect my micromax MMX352G usb modem..plz give me a clue how can i install it on redhat5..

Can I suggest that you probably shouldn't be wanting to connect that kind of hardware to an enterprise operating system in the first place? If this is on a laptop then you should really try using a user orientated distro like mint or ubuntu.

^ i second the above but fedora is more similar to redhat.

can you post the output of lsusb and lsmod.

RHEL5.?????
point what ?

RHEL5.6 is the current in the "5 series"

if laptop ??? why
rhel will not work right on most
things like the mouse pad and sound might never work .

also RHEL is not free !!!
you need a support contract and a paid for license ( you DO have to buy RHEL)

ask red hat
you DID buy the license and support ? right
