Completly off-topic, but I learned something, I never knew you could rotate an image from Explorer... then again, I only have XP at work, and I almost never use thumbnail view....

Back on topic, I'd suggest GIMP too, it's over-powered for just rotating an image, but it'll do it and much more, and it's probobly already installed.

As for how to rotate an image in GIMP:
- Click "Image" from the menu bar
- Click "Transform"
- Click whichever option you want

The problem that I meet (with gimp or convert for example) is that the rotation works, but if I want to show the image on a html page and reduce the image using %, then the image will be show vertical but with the old horizontal format! So totally disproportioned! One or more values have to be changed I guess and those programms do not seem to change those values automatically.

I'l try ImageMagick.

P.S. I'm on Suse with KDE.

It sounds like a problem with your HTML. Check that your width and height attributes in the IMG tag actually match the dimensions of the image.

Yes. You are right, I made a mistake with my html. convert or gimp work. I also tried a few viewers, the problem is that the rotation diseappears when you click on refreash.

http://bbips.org

The script uses imagemagick to do most of the work. Several functions you could look at there and use.
