Question How to return text mode

Dear all,
How to boot Linux in text mode default ?
Now my Linux is booting in X11 mode

Edit your /etc/inittab file, and change the 5 to a 3 in the default line.

The line would look something like: 'id5:initdefault:' Change that to 3.

You can press Ctrl+Shift+F1 to go to a char mode.
To come back to GUI, press

Do "chkconfig --list"
then for xwindows
do "chkconfig --level 2345 xwindows off"
