How to retrieve information about the network interfaces?


how do I find the command which shows the information about my network interfaces

Your still not very clear on exactly what you are trying to do. So I'm going to assume ifconfig will give you what you want. Have you ran that command yet? What distro are you using?

/sbin/ifconfig
