How to rescue Linux rescue using Live CD
 
Hi All,
Kindly anyone share the step how can i rescue Linux server in live rescue CD .Since im afraid that rescue with live cd delete my server content.

Server:HP PROLIANT SERVER

You boot the server from the CD/DVD, and repair whatever needs repairing.

If you want a more specific answer, you'll obviously have to provide some details regarding the nature of the problem.

you could boot with the liveCD and copy all the data content of your server to an external hard drive.

Other than that you have to be more specific on what is the problem you are having? what do you need to fix?

is it GRUB? is it your samba shares? what is the problem?

Im trying to rescue GRUB using Live rescue CD.But im aware of how to boot the server using live CD to rescue mode.Anyone share me with document (or) link could be very useful for me to troubleshoot the boot loader

yes, are you using Ubuntu? or what distro?assuming you are in Ubuntu:
boot the live CD then install the grub rescue tool and run it.

We definitely need to know what distro+version and ideally some idea of the actual grub issue.
What are the symptoms?
