How to reposition or calibrate the monitor?

Well, its taken several hours to find how to post... This is very threatening for me....

This site is a great idea for sure, but for a new linux guy,who is not very nimble at this stuff, Wow! Tricky.

Any way, this is a try.... See if anyone reads this and responds.

I wanted to ask a question but could not locate the correct forum title. Tried one but was told I did not have permission.

My first question is how to reposition or calibrate the monitor... this page is OK, but dialog boxes are off the screen to the left and a spreadsheet is over-blown and immovable. I cannot locate a command to alter. Neither can I find and "edge" where the cursor can be used to shrink the size or make the page fit on the screen. Previously this machine was connected to two monitors... that could be part of the problem.

If anyone can direct me to the proper way to post this question, it would be appreciated. [MODERATED]

For anyone reading this.... Thank you! and have a good day.

regards,

jerry

Locked Ubuntu

Thank you very much John,

This entire process became so tedious that I abandoned Ubuntu, and returned to Windows. I am a heavy computer user - not a technical jocky who enjoys all that is necessary to use Ubuntu. True, I hate Windows and Microsoft, and when my business partner was at hand to maintain Ubuntu, I was great. He is now in Denmark. To be honest, I even find the tedium of this Linux website a bit more than necessary IN MY OPINION.

Once again, thank you sincerely for your attention.

Kind Regards,

jerry
