Cool how to recover normal boot for ubuntu 9.10


Sir..I recently installed Ubuntu 9.10.I also installed many packages like
Mplayer,Km player,mandvd,devede,handbrake etc;.I also installed nvidia driver recently but to install a package called mesa common dev I uninstalled nvidia driver.In addition to this I went to synaptic center
and removed some broken packages.From ubuntu installation cd I installed build essential packages.After these activities I restarted ubuntu but I am not able to boot normally.It is showing only terminal and log in information .Please tell me how to recover normal boot in this condition,is there any command option to recover ubuntu or I have to install a new ubuntu 9.10.Please tell me thank You.

would be helpful if you can mention what log information is being displayed.
