how to prevent process leaving memory leakage

hi,

I am using saslauthd with pam, where no. of threads is reduced to 1.
Still this process is not releasing the memory even after authentications are completed and stopped.

Maybe if you posted some useful information, like version/distro of Linux, how you're using that program, in what context, and an actual question, we could help you...
