yes when i play media files like .wmv or .mkv or 3gp i am getting error.. its required some codec file to install how to get the codec files and how to install

You need the Win32codecs. You may already have them in your repository/package manager, if not, you can get them from here: mplayerhq look for Binary Codec Packages. Read before you download.
I would recommend adding the Packman and VLC repos in YaST. You may want their versions of packages such as MPlayer and Amarok, built with support to play propriety formats such as MP3s. Select the Add Community Repositories option to get a list.
