install vlc or mplayer.both works on ubuntu

You need some codecs to play them on the default totem movie player.

He is on Fedora ;-)

Jitender, you can do as mobin suggested or install xine to use with default player (Totem?). As root run

I think he needs to enable the RPMFusion repo iirc. Haven't used fedora in a while.

it is the easiest way to install everything
