It would be useful to know which distribution you use, and the format of the file.

Nevertheless, VLC, among others, can probably play it.

Hi,

I'm going to assume you are talking about wmv files: Most (linux) video players can play these without any problem.

I myself use (g)mplayer and totem. Both are probably part of your Linux distribution.

+1 to VLC it is my choice for a video player because it plays everything I throw at it.

Try VLC Media player. This player is the best.

VLC has another benefit that is most often comes with all the necessary codecs.
