How to patch openssh in Redhat 5.4 without rhn subcription
HI

Whether Downloading the latest realese of openssh installing on redhat 5.4 could cause me to loose my terminal .How i can make the latest openssh make active after installing latest openssh version rpm .Any suggestion could help me.Since i have int upgraded openssh without rhn sbscription http://pkgs.org/download/openssh |
Hi,
since you don't have a RHN subscription I would suggest migrating to CentOS. See the "Migration an existing system from RHEL5 to CentOS 5" section in http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/MigrationGuide The procedure appears to be quite quick and painless. Evo2. |
Move to centos could be a very good solution for our problem.I think Redhat version 5.4 is outdated .If you dont have subscripion go ahead with Centos 6.2 Box.Which you can have support for 7 years

Need advise to upgrade openssh
whether upgrading the openssh ad per the below link works are not need advise to try out before trying in production http://www.bonigala.com/how-to-updat...-fedora-core-7 Are else upgrading openssh by rpm from below link should help without dropiing my production server ssh http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/se...?query=openssh |
As per the excellent advice above, DON'T try to fool around with prod servers like that.
You have 3 reasonable options 1. get RHN subscription 2. switch over to Centos 3. leave it alone |
