How to Patch Linux Server

Can someone explain how do I patch redhat AS3, I mean like on HP I can go to the hp website and upload a patch file to get all the required patches for my HP system. I know I can't use up2date because of firewalls so what will be the best way to keep my redhat linux AS3 upto date with all the Patches.

Thanks in Advance.

RHEL AS3 is capable of using up2date even thru a firewall, this is something you have paid for Red hat support to help you configure. You can also see how to do this by reading the manuals. The online version of the manuals are here;

http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/e...RHEL-3-Manual/
http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/RHNetwork/

If nothing else then you will have to wait on the postal system to have your update CD delivered.

since redhat as3 require you to perform online update with quite expensive support fee. I'll suggest you to use change to whitebox, it is clone from redhat but it allow you to perform update.
