How to open multiple tabs automatically !

Hi all.

I am using ubuntu 10.10. I am practicing for my CCIE. I need to do the following just to speed up myself :-)

In ubuntu, while i am in gui (gnome) i want to do the following

1) open a terminal window
2) open 13 tabs (the ones that we open using ctrl+shift+t)
3) on tab1, execute -> telnet 127.0.0.1 2001
4) on tab2, execute -> telnet 127.0.0.1 2002
5) so on till telnet 127.0.0.1 2013

Can i do above stuff automatically like creating some script for it ? pls guide me

you can do it with xvkbd

here is example that shuts down Transmission:

b=$(xwininfo -name Transmission | grep Window\ id:\ | awk '{print $4}')
#get programs window id

xvkbd -xsendevent -window $b -text "\Cq"
#send keystroke to quit program
