how to open a browser window using perl


can any one tell me "how to open a browser window using perl , after opening the browser the control should be returned back to the program"


i have used

system ("/usr/bin/firefox");

## some code

the some code is not executed , unless i close the browser , can any one help me to solve this ?? pls

perldoc -f fork

Make sure you don't do waitpid() and then it will return control to the parent

Read up on the Perl builtin function fork(). It will allow you to do what you are asking. Just do a search in Google for "Perl fork()" and you will find everything you need to know...
