how to not add .Trash-user folder to storage device

hi, i got an mp3 player for xmas, and am setting it up on my nix box. it is a standard usb mass storage device.

everything is working mostly fine except one thing. when i delete a flie on the mp3 players memory, it creates a folder .Trash-user on the player and moves the file there like it would on any regular harddrive.

this is kind of annoying though, i i would realy like to just have it delete the flie straight off the player. (just for this drive though, not for my regular drives)

help?

What are you using to delete the files? ( What filemanager Nautalis, Konq? )

Try using shift-delete with the file selected, this should simply delete the file straight away. I think...

I'm not up on GNOME, hopefully someone who is will be able to give you a better reply.
