check what's mounted with:
make a dir to mount windows on:
mount the windows

mount /dev/hda1 mnt/win
That should be enough. You can also specify the filetypes and such, check
man mount
Windows will probably use NTFS which means you can't write to it, you can read. I don't know if kanotix supports writing to NTFS yet. Also, to mount the drive each time you restart it's better to list it in /etc/fstab
