How to Mount PCMA Devices?

I'm new to Linux, so please excuse this probably absolute newbie-question:
I am using GCLinux (Grey-Cat). But I don't think that it matters for this question.

Everything else is OK and/or self explaining with a little computer knowledge.
However my Computer connects to the Internet via a cablenetrouter, which I connect to by a LanCard on PC-MA slot.
Now apparently Linux does not automatically mount the Card.

Could anyone please tell me
a) what the command for mounting a LAN-Card in a PC-MA Slot is?
b) in case i need to "install" further applications in order to that, the names of these and how to "install" them.

Thank you.
