how to mount ntfs drive in Linux


Hi ,

I have Dual Boot with Xp Sp2 and Red Hat Linux 9

Xp is installed in c:

c: d: and e: are NTFS

and free space is used for linux

now i want to copy some data of E: in Linux drives

Can anyone tell me how to do this..?

Im using Gnome Desktop whn i clicked on disk management i can only see linux ext3 drives

U can read the data, but U can't write on those partitions.

try as root

mount -t ntfs /dev/hda1 /mnt/

where hda1 is the partition.


If U dont know which partition try

cat /proc/partitions

and look for the one U need.
