How to make ISO suitable for installation from CD-ROM?


I have downloaded Linux distribution in ISO-files. How trasfer it to CD so I can install Linux from CD-ROM?

Take a CD recording software of your choice and search for the 'Burn/Write Image' function. Select the ISO file as source and burn. The function may be called differently in different software, but the essential part is that you do not burn a data CD or unpack the ISO file prior to burning.

After that boot from the CD and that's it.

EDIT: You may want to check the md5sum first to ensure the integrity of the ISO. Run md5sum on the downloaded file and compare the output with the information that is deposited on the server where you downloaded the file.

Download MagicISO, you can make iso image from CD with magiciso. it also is a ISO burner.
