Red Hat linux 9 was released a long time ago (actually, it was 2003). It is no longer maintained. Do you have a specific reason to use such an old OS?

He's saying that Red Hat 9 is over 10 years old.

When you're running commands and telling us the output, would you please copy and paste the actual text from your terminal into your post using [code][/code] tags, instead of just telling us in your own words what happened? You're leaving a lot of important information out, mixing upper and lower case in your filenames, etc. It's very confusing and difficult to try to help under these circumstances.
