How to make a shared folder for usage in Virtualbox?

I have a similar question: How to make a share folder of virtualbox if I have installed linux Ubuntu 10.10 in virtualbox machine virtualbox is my guest machine and Linux Mint is my host machine. I have installed VirtualBox OSE in Linux Mint and I have installed Windows XP/7, made a sharing folder from guest machine Windows XP/7. My host machine is Linux Mint/Ubuntu, I mean it is on my PC. How to make a share folder in virtual machine linux ubuntu 10.10 LTS in virtualbox OSE to host machine Linux Mint 11 Katya? Thank you very much.

Hello vandien76og,

please note that it is against the LQ-rules to hijack other people's threads. You should open your own thread with this question.

BTW, your question isn't similar to the OP's one.

Well, in the window of your virtual machine (Ubuntu) is a menuentry "devices", open it and click on "shared Folders", there you can click the symbol with the "+" sign to add a folder of you hostmachine to the filesystem of your guest.

Posts have been moved to their own thread. As already mentioned, please don't hijack existing threads. Take in mind that starting your own thread has some advantages (better exposure, automatic bumping if no-reply yet). Thank you for the collaboration.
