How to list all files recursively, in a non-broken list?

I want to get a list of all the files in a directory and all subdirectories. The best I can come up ("ls -lR") with results in:

Quote:

./xinetd.d:
total 8
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 317 2008-04-11 10:51 rsync
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 337 2008-06-22 17:04 vmware-authd

./xml:
total 4
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1010 2007-10-09 06:22 catalog
but I don't want the output to be broken down by directory; I want all the files to be listed more like:

Quote:

crw-rw---- 1 root tty 7, 7 2008-12-16 19:32 vcs7
crw-rw---- 1 root tty 7, 128 2008-12-16 19:31 vcsa
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 4 2008-12-16 19:31 vcsa0 -> vcsa
crw-rw---- 1 root tty 7, 129 2008-12-16 19:31 vcsa1
crw-rw---- 1 root tty 7, 140 2008-12-16 19:31 vcsa12
crw-rw---- 1 root tty 7, 130 2008-12-16 19:32 vcsa2
crw-rw---- 1 root tty 7, 131 2008-12-16 19:32 vcsa3
crw-rw---- 1 root tty 7, 132 2008-12-16 19:32 vcsa4
crw-rw---- 1 root tty 7, 133 2008-12-16 19:32 vcsa5
crw-rw---- 1 root tty 7, 134 2008-12-16 19:32 vcsa6
crw-rw---- 1 root tty 7, 135 2008-12-16 19:32 vcsa7
The end goal here is to get a list of files that I can sort by filesize.

Is this possible? Thanks

Try using the "find" command.
