how to know specification of my machine on linux redhat 5

like the size of harddesk and free space on it
Ram , VGA , and so on

Try these commands:

cat /proc/cpuinfo

cat /proc/meminfo
Code:
cat /proc/fb

Moreover you can do
Code:
cd proc
ls
And then cat <filename>, and see many other interesting informations !!

The article also mentions GUI's to gather that info, which some people prefer.
