how to know root password


Hi all
I can log in remotely to my linux server with root account (through ssh & saved password)
is there any way to know the root password ( remotely,,the server is far away) ???

Certain tools can do that. For example, when you try to telnet using the root account.

But you can almost always reset the root's password by entering the single user mode. Run level 1 - at the time of booting your system.
