How to know IP of web server


Hi all,
I m using the redhat distro . how can i query on the internet that :
suupoose www.abcd.com is running on which web server : either APACHE or any others.
who is hosting the web ?
can i n know the ip address of that web server ?
can i know who registered the domain name for www.abcd.com
all these query i want to do online .
can any body say me how can i get all these information from the inernet ?

I'm not exactly sure what you mean but is nslookup what you're looking for?

To obtain some of this information from the internet use something like whois.sc and run a query on abcd.com domain. Then to get the rest you will need to go to the command line and use the tools that repo has suggested. Also using something like nmap will give you things like open ports, and sometimes what OS is in use.
