how to invoke list of software under module packages...


Hi,

I need to invoke such softwares [gcc version] using module...

Eg:
module load gcc-2.6 => it need to load gcc-2.6

Becoz,

in my machine lot of versions avail but i need to invoke particular version for a particular program

If any body have Idea please share its helpful for upgrade myself...

I dont think you are giving us enough info about your problem. If you have a version of gcc that is 2.6 or higher then you are meeting the requirement:

gcc-2.6 => it need to load gcc-2.6


=> means equal to or greater than.


Additionally, properly installed packages should build the appropriate library links to support the older versions being called upon by other applications.

hello Kustom42,

I need to invoke such installed software under module file

Eg: if i need to run gcc-2.6 then
first of all i need invoke like module load gcc-2.6
then only my source code should compile by gcc-2.6 otherwise it show "command not found"...

So are you getting a command not found when you are trying to run gcc? I'm not really sure what your problem is here.
