Hi guys. One of my programs when i start shows me the message:
/bin/java no such file or directory...

As i understand I need to install java jdk rpm package. i've mounted it and now i see

java-1.4.2-gcj-compat-1.4.2.0-27jpp.noarch.rpm
java-1.4.2-gcj-compat-devel-1.4.2.0-27jpp.noarch.rpm

wich one to install?

neither, they aren't java, they are compatability library (and headers) for gcj. Java isn't included in rhel4, but is in rhel5 due to the change in java licensing between the release dates, so you'll need to download the jre yourself, from java.sun.com. grab the rpm there and install. Alternatively there are repackaged versions available here... http://dag.wieers.com/rpm/packages/j2re/
