What distribution are you using?
You should try with the distribution CDs. The method of installation depends on what are you using, there are some using rpm, others using deb, and for me the best - Mandrake - using urpmi.

pico is part of Pine. The RPM for Pine can be found at http://www.washington.edu/pine/getpine/linux.html
