How to install NVIDIA drivers for Fedora(also GRUB stopped showing up by default when I tried)

Device - HP pavillion e3022-TX
OS - Fedora
GPU - Nvidia Mx250 25 watt variant

I installed RPMfusion and the nonfree rep. I opened 'software' navigated to third party repositories and enabled the 'non-free' repository for NVIDIA drivers. I installed them and went to restart.

The very second I hit restart my system just froze at the 'it will restart in 60 seconds' message. I couldn't move my mouse at all. After a long time, I pressed the power button to shut it down from there and restarted. when I did that I got the message - NVIDIA Kernel Module Missing - Falling Back to Nouveau.

I looked it up online and saw suggestions that I should disable secure boot. I did so and now it keeps booting back to windows by default. To open Fedora, I need to hit the f9 key, then select fedora and then GRUB shows up.

I asked and looked around on the ask fedora forum and I eventually found a solution.

running
Quote:

sudo efibootmgr -v -o 0
is what made it boot back to GRUB

For installing NVIDIA drivers on Fedora I followed this(with secure boot already disabled) - Nvidia auto-installer

If you followed all the steps at that page you should have had no problem. His installer seems to work for everyone who tries it, and if it does not he asks that you contact him with the specific details so he can tweak the installer for your situation as well.

The boot issue seems to be related to an efimanager problem in potentially changing the boot device used for the next boot. Just as a guess, it may be that you did not wait the few seconds to a minute needed for the install of the driver to finish and reconfigure the boot image for the nvidia driver.
