gnokii, kmobiletools, [g|w]ammu, obexftp, opensyncml, msynctool and other tools listed here may cover some of the functionality provided by that package but there is no "Nokia PC Suite for Linux". Maybe try to install WINE and try running the suite from that?

I don't think it will work under Wine. I have played around with it and, last time I checked, it was not listed as working on the Wine database. I did some hunting around the Nokia forums and there is a definite user need for it and the devs have discussed creating one, but nothing seems to have come of it yet. With Nokia moving to Windows based software on their phones it may be that plans for a Linux suite could be ending.

Just to confirm this: you couldn't get any part of it to work in WINE, right? BTW how did you try to connect? DKU cable or Bluetooth?

That would imply they did start planning at some point which I doubt they would...

I used the USB cable. It wouldn't even start up, from memory. I can transfer files as the phone has settings for file transfer among others. In the end I played around with Gnokii and then lost interest.

True, I have no idea how far the planning (if any at all) went. It may have simply been a call to get an idea of how many were interested.
