Not quite clear what you mean.

No working nam ? Then install a nam package for Ubuntu 10.04 :
Post #2 here http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...-4175524760/#2

A 64bits OS : nam_1.14_amd64.deb
32bits : nam_1.15-10_i386.deb
-----

The tcl examples here ...
http://www.isi.edu/nsnam/ns/tutorial/nsscript1.html
( Ref. http://www.isi.edu/nsnam/ns/tutorial/nsindex.html )
→ example1b.tcl, example1.tcl, example2.tcl, example3.tcl
.. will open a NAM window automatically.
If no line with 'exec nam out.nam & ' in the file,
... then you will have to run nam manually : $ nam out.nam &
* Some examples in ns-2.3x/tcl/ex/ are not creating any nam output file.

Delete any executable 'nam' that you have now.
And delete the folder nam-1.14/.

Then install a nam that works : See post #2.
Download nam_1.14_amd64.deb or nam_1.15-10_i386.deb .
Click the package, and your 'Package Installer' will install it.
