how to install MRTG ????


I'd tried it once to install it to monitor the traffic in my interface but was unable.

Can anybody give me a simple n specific way to do it ??
Its really urgent...

looking forward for a quick reply..

well mrtg is probably available a a distro specific package that will drop into your system without any trouble at all. you've not even told us what that distro is though... maybe if you actually tell us the specific problems you're having you'll be able to get more help, but there are no "special" installation instructions for mrtg, it'll install like any other package. if it's configuration issues you're having, not installation, then the first point of call is going to be the documentation for the project...

btw, please don't use words like urgent, but do use words like please

about the distro

sorry for using urgent .....
but i'm not able to configure as well as install MRTG...

i'm using ubuntu..

can i find a complete documentation on its installation ???

anyways thanx for ur reply n hope that you'll help me out...

ok, well mrtg is part of ubuntu's apt repos, so just run "apt-get install mrtg" and hit enter...
