Question how to install module in apache?


I want to install mod_authn_dbd module on my apache server! but i don't know how to do it! Any one can help me by explain how to install it?

Have you been able to compile the .so file? If so, you should just need to put the module in the Apache modules directory and enable it in httpd.conf. The info here provides a configuration example.

If you're getting specific errors can you post them please?

i don't have any source file! where can i download it?

After compile, just put the .so file into the module directory and add loadmodule statement in http.conf only right?

Sorry about that. I was looking at the configure options for Apache 2.0.59 and couldn't find it so I assumed it was an externally available module. It is part of the Apache 2.2.8 install I have on another box though. To enable it you would add --enable-authn-dbd to your configure command when you're building Apache.

Since it's built in to Apache 2.2 you won't need to manually copy the .so file. However, you will need to configure it - the link in my earlier post has some info on this.
