How to install KDE 3.2 on RedHat 9.0
I hope, that the title is not so stupid. :)
So, I'm with KDE 3.1-12 and I want to upgrade to KDE 3.2. My question is "where can I find RPM (??) file with this version?" There are few things more: How could I know if I have all the things, that are necessary to upgrade to KDE 3.2? What must I do to install properly the new version? I mean the process: installation, removing old (if they're not) packages, etc. |
I'm on RH9 too atm and I have yet to find rpm's for KDE 3.2, I upgraded my install to KDE 3.1.4 though.
To list all the kde components you have installed, open a terminal and type $ rpm -qa kde* Then you can go to this ftp and download the packages you want. I had to download arts-1.1.4 and qt-3.1.2 too. Just dump them into an empty directory and do # rpm -Uvh *.rpm |
