Because I couldn't take it no more!
EVERY single forum, dedicated to linux support (well, and others too) is riddled with self-proclaimed "advocates" of Linux/Win32/something, whose only purpose on those boards is to offend, sting, and more-or-less express their minute, narrow views in the most destructive fashion. By offending users who actually need either help, or advice, or just have generaly posted a very valid question.
That is why. I'm not restless at all. I've stopped using BBSes in 1990, to move onto the NNTP, then in 1994 with advent of gazzilion retarded kids with nothing better to do then flame ppl for no apparent reason (pushing their own little immature agendas of pre-teen mischief), I dropped that one too.
Every now and then, I stumble upon a nice little thread like this, where trolls go over a person who asked a question.
Why do you think phrase: "Do not feed the Trolls! Do not fe..." is in many signatures? Scary.
On another note: Running IE on linux HAS many advantages - for one, some sites/ASP providers (Application Service Providers for uninitiated, not active server pages) use MANY nice little custom ActiveX controls that SIMPLIFY life. You CAN NOT just go and say CHANGE THE ASP, because if the CTO and CEO made a commitment, then you might feel STUCK with it for a while - decisions like that are usually mid-to-long term, and contracts are signed in the same manner.
Good example is http://intranets.com
where their little ActiveX control allows ANY manager to simply COPY/PASTE from thier Word Docs into the edit area, INCLUDING images, and it's all taken care for - news item is posted (or document). I'm sorry if you can't see that yet, but managers/editors are technology agnistic, and they SHOULD be.
Unfortunate situation arises when you realize that only IE will allow you to do that.
That's why I found this thread interesting, and that is why I found your response rather unhelpfull.
Thank you for your time,
