Open up yast2 > Software Management, search for gcc and g++ and install those packages.

Welcome to LQ.

Building gcc-4.5.1 on an old OS, using gcc-4.1.x, post #2 here

Follow it strictly, and it shouldn't fail then.
..

Good luck !

Post # 5 : gcc-4.1.2 is required to build gcc-4.5.1.

So installing gcc-4.1.2 is a must !

The simple method to get a gcc-4.5.1 :

Suse 10.2 is old, no support for a long time, no new software.
