How to install Debian on my data disk, while the main disk is Windows ?

Hello there

The title says pretty much all, I would like to install Debian OS but here is my problem : I am using my local primary disk with Windows on it (C:, it's SSD), and a second disk (D:, 1To HDD) to store my data on it. (picture : http://s10.postimg.org/q9b8y2atl/disques.jpg)

So now I would like to install Debian on my data HDD D: (which is logic : I won't touch my SSD except for Windows OS and some software programs), but I don't know how to proceed

Thank you in advance

In order to install Debian, you need an unallocated free disk space on your second hard disk.

You can do it this way
1. Using windows, you can shrink D: and create an unallocated space on 2nd hard disk.Obviously, this much me of minimum required by Debian installer.
2. Now boot with the Debian disk and create a root partition using the unallocated space created in the first step and install Debian on this partition.
