how to install C, C++ documentation in KDevelop

In a previous post I asked where to find c_cpp_reference-1.0.tar.gz, which KDevelop told me I needed in order to get online C, C++ help. The URL suggested here turned out to be correct so I have the file.
I tried installing it using the instructions provided by KDevelop. The installation generated a string of error messages, including one to do with Qt help.
Can anyone provide some more detailed instructions?
TIA

Could you post the error messages?
