Quite easy : Edit line 32 in 'boost.SlackBuild'
from
VERSION=1_38_0
to
VERSION=1_39_0

... And it builds with no errors on Slackware 12.2.
.....

Thanks for your answer,

replace the the source boost_1_38_0.tar.bz2 by boost_1_39_0.tar.gz file, change the line version of the slackbuild and ready to do something or missing?.

In addition to commenting on it by knudfl be changed in the same file on the line 59 tar.bz2 by tar.gz, and use as a source file the boost_1_39_0.tar.gz
