So I recommand that you install beryl via apt:
First you need to edit the /etc/apt/sources.list file to add beryl repositories
Now you need to save and exit the file
Download gpg key using the following command
#wget -O - http://email@example.com
| sudo apt-key add -
Now you need to update the source list information using the following command
Install beryl using the following command
#apt-get install beryl-manager emerald-themes
This will install all the required packages for beryl.
