how to install adobe reader in kubuntu 11.10
 

I am trying to install abobe reader in my kubuntu 11.10 for online classes this semester. I downloaded the adobe reader but I don't know what to do from there. All help is very appreceated.

If you just need to open PDF documents in Kubuntu you can do so using Okular, if you are in the Xubuntu you can run Xpdf and if you are with the Unity desktop enviroment you can use Evince.

You probably already have them all installed in your computer, and I dont think you need to be running a KDE session to run Okular, nor a Xfce session to run Xpdf. So what I am saying is that you can probably run any of them from any session, give them a test and report the results here.

With out the adobe reader I get most of the screen; I just don't get the pop-up documents that are essential to lessons and tests. I'm not even sure if there are considered pop-ups. The screen asks what I am going to do, a lesson or a quiz, and if I select either then I am supposed to see and correspond to whichever I decided to do. So far a get an error screen that says "No adobe reader installed. Install adobe reader."
This is for .mypearson.com math course at TCC online.
